After years of dedicated service, Chris and Ashley Koontz gracefully pass the leadership baton to Mr. Brent Sturgell. Brent holds a Bachelors of Science in HVAC Engineering from Ferris State University and is a Certified Gas Engineer by the American Society of Gas Engineers, he also holds a Class A unrestricted HVAC License and brings over 30 years of invaluable experience from prominent names in the HVAC industry. His extensive background, including roles at Daikin, Goodman, Trane, Carrier, First Co. and Orlando based manufacturer Addison Products, positions him as the ideal leader to guide Koontz into its next phase of growth and service excellence.
Founded in 1967 by Jerry & JoEtta Koontz, the legacy of Koontz Heating & Air Conditioning is deeply rooted in an unwavering commitment to quality, service, and care. That all started with the technical expertise of Jerry and JoEtta’s business acumen. Brent Sturgell’s assumption of ownership signifies not just a change but a continuation of these core principles, ensuring the tradition of excellence perseveres.

With an average employment tenure of over 12 years, and some team members contributing for more than three decades, the addition of Brent’s 35 years enhances the collective expertise.
